Kansas Zotung Christian Church (KS ZCC) operates the KS ZCC app and kansascityzcc.com. This policy explains how information is handled when you use these services.
Information We Collect
You can browse public church information, events, bulletins and videos without signing in. Account features may collect your name, email address, account identifier and authentication information, including information supplied through Sign in with Apple.
When you use community features, we store the posts, comments, prayer content, photos, likes, prayer reactions, feedback and votes you submit. Photos are optional. Your account identifier connects this activity to your account.
Authorized church staff may manage member records containing names, contact information, addresses, profile photos, dates of birth and joining, gender, marital status, church membership and related church information. Staff may also manage named giving or donation records, amounts and supporting records. Church membership and prayer content may reveal religious beliefs.
If you enable push notifications, the app registers a device notification token and notification preferences with our server. The website and hosting providers may process IP addresses, device and browser information, and operational or security logs.
How We Use Information
We use information to authenticate accounts, provide community and church features, administer membership and giving records, deliver requested notifications, respond to requests, moderate content and maintain service security. The app does not use advertising tracking SDKs or share app data for cross-app advertising tracking.
Visibility and Sharing
Community content is shown to the audience selected for the post, such as public visitors or signed-in members. Staff tools restrict access to detailed member and finance records to authorized church staff. Names may also appear in church programs or other church information.
We do not sell personal information. Our hosting and service providers process information needed to operate these services. Information may also be disclosed at your direction or when needed for safety, security or legal obligations.
Third-Party Services and Cookies
The app and website use or link to Apple services, YouTube videos, maps, email, telephone and external giving or event services. These providers process information under their own privacy policies. YouTube embeds use privacy-enhanced mode; YouTube may still process information when you load or play a video. External payment services handle their own payment information.
The website may use cookies and similar technologies for sign-in, security, preferences and embedded content. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
Retention and Deletion
Community posts and their attached photos are scheduled for permanent deletion one year after creation. A daily server task performs this cleanup, so removal may occur after the anniversary when the scheduled task runs. Other church records are retained as needed for church administration and applicable recordkeeping obligations. Backups may retain information for a separate period.
You can use the in-app account deletion option to remove your app account and associated community content and notification registrations. Separately maintained church membership and giving records may remain; contact the church about access, corrections or deletion requests for those records.
Your Choices and Security
You can browse public information without an account, choose whether to upload photos or other optional content, remove your posts, manage notification permission in device settings and contact the church about your information. We use access controls and other safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Children and Families
Parents or guardians should supervise children’s use of account and community features and contact the church if a child has submitted information that needs correction or removal.
